The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan released the class 8 result 2026 on March 24 at 1:00 PM. Education Minister Madan Dilawar stood in Ajmer and announced the numbers himself. Over 12.86 lakh students sat for these exams across the state. Now they finally know where they stand.

Over 12.86 lakh students appeared for Class 8 exams. Out of them, 12.45 lakh passed. That puts the overall pass percentage at 97.01 per cent.
Girls did better than boys again. The numbers show 97.57 per cent of girls passed. For boys, it was 96.52 per cent. The difference is small but it has been consistent for a few years now.
Around 38,276 students fell into the supplementary category. That means they did not clear one or two subjects. They will get another chance later this year.
The board also announced Class 5 results today. Over 13.68 lakh students appeared for those exams. The pass percentage there was 97.75 per cent.
If You Passed, What Comes Next
Passing Class 8 means you move to Class 9. That is the start of secondary school. The syllabus changes. Subjects get deeper. Teachers expect more.

If you scored well, good for you. You earned it. Take the summer to rest. But do not switch off completely. Class 9 moves faster than Class 8. The habit of studying regularly matters more than how much you study.

Can You Get Your Answer Sheets Rechecked?
Yes. The board allows students to apply for revaluation or scrutiny.

Do not share your roll number or marksheet online. There are people who collect student data for no good reason. Keep your information private.

If you are a parent checking your child's result today, remember something. The number on the screen does not reflect everything your child is capable of.
Some children will bring home marks that make you proud. Some will bring home marks that worry you. Either way, how you respond matters more than the result itself.
If the numbers are good, celebrate the effort. If they are lower than expected, sit down and talk. Ask what felt hard. Ask what help they need. Yelling or punishing does not fix the gaps. Support does.
