NTA NEET UG 2026 Results Out: Punjab’s Aryan Gupta Tops Country; 19 Candidates Score 700+ Marks!
The wait is finally over. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2026 results on July 16, 2026 . Nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination conducted on June 21, 2026, following the cancellation of the May 3 test over an alleged paper leak .
Out of these, 11.21 lakh candidates have successfully qualified for undergraduate medical admissions across the country . The results are now available on the official NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in .

Aryan Gupta and Panshul Bansal Share the Top Spot

Two brilliant minds have jointly secured the All India Rank 1 in NEET UG 2026. Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana have both scored a phenomenal 715 out of 720 . This is the highest score achieved this year, and no candidate has managed to score a perfect 720 .

Speaking to the press after his historic achievement, Aryan Gupta shared his inspiring journey. "I secured AIR 1, I scored 715 out of 720, my father and mother are doctors... I worked hard, I would not get sleep, but it is feeling surreal now, looking like a dream," he said .
He further revealed his motivation to become an oncologist, a pledge he took in third standard after his grandmother passed away from cancer .

Interestingly, women have outshone men in the overall results. More than 58% of the qualified candidates are women. They also cleared the exam at a better rate of 56.8% compared to 55.1% for men .
NEET Result 2026 Cut-Off Sees a Sharp Rise
One of the most talked-about aspects of this year's results is the significant jump in the qualifying cut-off marks. The NEET result 2026 cut-off for the Unreserved (UR)/Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category has seen a huge rise, increasing from 686–144 marks in 2025 to 715–213 marks in 2026 .

What's Next: Counselling and Seat Allotment
With the results now declared, the next step is the NEET UG counselling process for 2026 . The NEET scorecard is valid only for the academic year 2026-27.
Candidates who have qualified will soon be able to register for the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats and by respective state authorities for the remaining state quota seats.
