With Asian Games 2023 looming near, there is still no clarity well-nigh India Women’s Cricket Team when staff, expressly coaches. In the latest, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) has now suggested holding interviews for the fielding and bowling coaches. Ramesh Powar’s transfer to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in December of last year left the India Women’s Cricket Team without a throne coach. Powar has two stints with the Indian squad surpassing stuff scheduled throne mentor for a second time in May 2021.

Following Powar, batting mentor Hrishikesh Kanitkar received the interim leadership role. The bowling mentor was named as Australian Troy Cooley.

The Women in Blue dropped the bilateral match versus Australia, lost to South Africa in the tri-series championship game, and were eliminated from the T20 World Cup without falling to Australia in the semifinals.

India’s next trip was to Bangladesh without the T20 World Cup, and Nooshin Al Khadeer was scheduled as the tour’s interim coach. The three-match T20I series was won by the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team by a score of 2-1, while the three-match ODI series finished in a tie at 1-1.

The next series for India Women’s Cricket Team will be versus South Africa and will take place in September 2023. It will consist of three ODIs and as many T20Is. Surpassing that, the workbench will be expected to make the utterance of coaches.
